I finally made the decision to submit my new series for Art Prize. I guess I need to get busy painting!

I’ve been struggling with find the motivation to pick up the brush. This may be the motivation I need, as long as I make a connection with a venue!

Getting Inspired

I happened to come across a book in the library about the Life & Art of Wayne Thiebaud. I love his work and I love that he paints memories. And so he has inspired me and I began making a list of things that represent a few of my memories! I can’t wait to get sketching!

Remove the Creative Block

I wish it were as easy as it is to say it! These past two months of non-stop garden work have left me unmotivated and blocked. I have plenty of pieces to pick up and work on but I can’t find what it takes to actually work. So how do I unblock?

I think the answer is to force myself to push through the block. Look for ideas and write them, sketch them, imagine them…

Oh yeah, and find the actual time I need to be creative…now where can I find more time?

I wish the library had a copy of this book, it looks fun!

All my time and energy has been put into the Children’s School Garden. Not only have I been running the website but also helping physically get the garden ready for our big kick-off party this Friday! It is an exciting time yet I am missing my painting increasingly more!

Poke Ball

A Poké Ball (Japanese: Monster Ball) is a type of item that is critical to a Trainer‘s quest, used for catching and storing Pokémon.

Poké Balls are ubiquitous in the modern Pokémon world. Up to six Pokémon can be carried with a Trainer in Poké Balls, while any number of other Poké Balls can be held in the bag for later use. These six Pokémon in the Poké Balls can be attached to the user’s belt for carrying them around. Some Pokémon do not like to be carried around in Poké Balls, such as Ash’s Pikachu.
