Last night I had the opportunity to attend the opening reception for Design MMoCA 2012. My friend Jerry who owns Chapa Design, exhibited and did an amazing job! It was so much fun! I hope I get to do this more often.

This design showcase has challenged the region’s most creative interior designers, architects, graphic designers, fashion designers, and industrial designers to use works from the museum’s permanent collection as inspiration for one-of-a-kind design projects. The resulting works are showcased—along with the inspiration artwork—in MMoCA’s galleries and lobby.
Design MMoCA participants have been given a unique opportunity to develop a dream design—unbound by the typical constraints of client assignments. Structures, interiors, graphics, products, furniture—all possible for this no-inhibitions exhibition.
